Documents
A dedicated JSON editor with syntax highlighting, folding, formatting, and multi-tab sessions.
JSON work that belongs inside Unity
A professional JSON workspace in the Unity Editor. Read, shape, compare, validate, and transform the data that powers modern Unity projects — without leaving the project that depends on it.
See it in action
Watch JEditor edit a document, keep the tree in sync, and query the data without leaving Unity.
The problem
External editors are fine for plain text. They rarely give you structural navigation, semantic compare, live C# models, in-editor schema validation, or a recoverable history while you explore. JEditor brings those capabilities next to the project that depends on the data.
Balance and economy tables
Level and encounter definitions
Remote config and live ops payloads
Localization packs and content catalogs
Save-game samples and analytics exports
HTTP API request and response bodies
How the pieces fit
Tree selection, Inspector edits, Search hits, Health findings, and Error diagnostics all resolve back into the same document. When the task is not “edit this file,” switch the left rail.
Edit JSON in tabs, then inspect structure, search, generate C#, check health, or review history.
Semantic diffs across documents, files, and snippets — not noisy line changes.
Send a request, inspect the JSON response, then open it as a Document.
Generate a Draft 4 contract from real data and validate targets against it.
The workspace
Inspection and iteration stay next to the project that depends on the data.
A dedicated JSON editor with syntax highlighting, folding, formatting, and multi-tab sessions.
Structural browsing and Unity-style property editing that stay in sync with the text.
Instant text search, a visual query builder, and C# LINQ over your document.
A live class preview generated from valid JSON. Copy it when the shape looks right.
Quality signals for structure, consistency, size, and style — click a finding to reveal it.
A local edit timeline with preview, compare, and restore while you explore.
Semantic JSON diffs between documents, files, and snippets — not noisy line diffs.
Generate Draft 4 schemas from real documents and validate targets against them.
Send requests and open JSON responses as Documents without leaving Unity.
First five minutes
Paste a realistic payload, inspect the structure, then move into Compare, Schema, or HTTP when the job is no longer “edit this file.”
01
Tools → DivinityCodes → JEditor. The window opens on Documents.
02
New tab, File → Open…, or Import JSON to load a .json file.
03
Pretty-print, Smart Format, or Compact. Expand the Tree and keep selection linked to the source.
04
Find a value, glance at Live C#, then use Health findings you can click to reveal.
Who it is for
JEditor fits people who treat configuration, live ops payloads, API responses, and schema contracts as first-class project assets. It is especially useful when JSON is large enough that scrolling alone is no longer a strategy.
Edit, compare, validate, and transform game data inside Unity — then open the docs when you want the full workspace tour.
